Children were able to study because of coffee

Dahil sa Kape nakapag aral ang mga bata.

These are the kind of stories that keep reminding us why this work matters.

Ma'am Edrea Mae is a member of the Talaandig IP (indigenous people) community in Bukidnon. During a recent visit, she shared how their community began to diversify into coffee farming and processing, and how this shift has slowly created new opportunities. Through coffee, children were given the chance to go to school, older out-of-school youth were able to take on meaningful work, and families found an additional source of income.

Moments like this offer a clearer picture of what coffee can become for many communities. Beyond quality and recognition, it becomes a way to support livelihoods and open doors for the next generation. This is what continues to move us to share Philippine coffee with the world. Each cup carries not just the work of the farmers, but also the impact it creates within their communities.

We are deeply grateful to Ms. Chit Juan, the Philippine Coffee Board, the Department of Agriculture, and the many government and non-government organizations who continue to support and stand with our farmers
